STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

There will be no running today after school.

Congratulation GIRLS!!!!! The 7th & 8th grade girls basketball team both won their first game in the county tourney last night. They each will play in the championship game against North Harrison on Saturday. The games will be in the Lanesville High School gym. The bus will leave at 9:00. The 7th grade will play at 10:00 and the 8th will play at 11:15. GO-FIGHT-WIN-GIRLS!!!!!!!

Gather your pennies and silver. Next week we will kick Pennies for Patients fund rasier. The money raised will go kick off our Pennies for Patients fund raiser. The money raised will go to benefit the Leukemia Foundation. We will have a friendly competition amongst homerooms. There will be two winners- the one that raises the most money pennies and the one that raises the most money. Each winner will receive a pizza party for their entire homeroom. A few guidelines... Pennies count- you want you r homeroom to have the MOST. Silver will count against the total amount of pennies. Players from homerooms can sabotage their opponents. Students may not leave classes to sabotage- this can be done during passing periods or when yuo enter a classroom. Boxes should always be in visible location- no hiding boxes, this is a FRIENDLY competition that goes toward a great cause!

Reminder to 8th graders: Keep your grades up and dicipline to a "0" and you will be eligible to on you are trip to Holiday World is being planned for May.

Baseball and softball sign-ups for the Friends of Harrison Co. Youth will be Feb. 4th and 11th. You can pick up more information in the office.

Student-Remember, each homeroom needs to nominate one girl and one boy for different categories. Ballots are due today.

Avon fundraisers are due today.

Panthers beat the rams last night! Great job seventh and eighth grade boys!

There will be NO yearbook Staff meeting today. We will meet again next Tuesday after school until 4:30.

Students-- remember, each homeroom needs to nominate one boy and one girl for each different category for the yearbook. Ballots are due Friday.

Conhratulations to the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball team for their wins over Perry Central last night. Tonihgt the boys will take on Paoli Rams here at 6:00. $1.00 passes will be sold at lunch.
Plastics, newspaper, old broken hangers, old phonebooks, even old indoor/ outdoor carpet if you have any of these recycleing items see ms. Rhinehart. These items are being collected for a mini-golf project that will benefit different organizations.

There will be a student council meeting in room 135 on Tuesday.

The HS Ath. Dept. is having a fundraiser called "Hoops for Hope" in memory of Bob Pruett and in honer of Pearl Alcorn. The t-shirts cost $10.00 and the money will benefit the American Cancer Society.

There will be after school today until 4:30.

The January FFA meeting will be next Thursday.
